Derby match of the round was at the Fountain where Section A leaders Fountain Lions lost to stable companions Fountain.
It was nip and tuck all the way with the Lions leading 8-7 but Fountain won the two games in the sixth round for the draw and then repeated it in the deciding leg to go through 11-10. Chris Hocking and Fred Markham, M Pengelly and Lee Prout all won for Fountain. Rod and Ivan Olver, Mark Hancock and Brian Olver all won four for the Lions.
Barley A were 10-5 up after five rounds against Police B and ran out 13-5 winners. Richie Freeman and Bill Denning, Lisa Haley and Marion Denning all won four for Barley A. Richard Bailey and Gary Cutter won three, Dave Crocker and Jerry Clemes were brushed for Police B.
Highway C were 6-3 down away to Market B but then won seven of the last nine games to win 10-8.
Highway B lost to St Neot A 10-8. Dave Cock and Bill Miners won five for St Neot A. Highway B have now withdrawn from the league.
Legion B recorded their first win of the season when winning 12-6 at home to Highway A. Clive Sargent and Mark Bartlett won all six, Les Dennis and Bob Fricker won for Legion B. Sharon Sommers and Jennie Anthony won three for Highway A.
Cheesewring won in extra time against White Hart B after being 7-5 down. Cheesewring would like to thank White Hart for a very sporting match. Kevin Gregory and Richard Paul won five, Helen Windmill and Steve Coombs won four for Cheesewring. Paul and Lee Gibbs won four for White Hart B.
Legion C won in the extra round against White Hart A. Chrissie Haynes and Sue Murray won five for Legion C. John Thomas and Taff Lewis won four for White Hart A.
Legion A lost six games on the trot against Police A but managed to get a draw. They then won in extra time. Min Gibbs and Barry Lewis won five for Legion A. All pairs won three for Police in the main game.
Market eased into the second round with an 11-7 win at home to Wheal Tor. Kelly and Frankie Powell continued their good form winning four, Graham Pengelly and Mark Borlase won three for Market. Stan Skews and Dave Clatworthy, Maureen Skews and Tom Bolitho all won three for Wheal Tor.
Dobsons won 13-5 at home to Barley B. Mike Hutchings and Steve Spearing won five, Colin Butler and Vic Bray, Ron Hutchings and Eric Andrew all won four for Dobsons. Terry Falconer and Neil Cloake, John Anderson and Shane Pollard all won for Barley B.
All section B captains please note Highway B and St Neot B have withdrawn from the league.
