A Torpoint councillor has missed out on becoming mayor of the town for the second year running by the narrowest of margins.
Cllr Eric Parkin has stood for the posts of mayor and deputy mayor for the last two years.
But despite having equal votes with a rival for two of the four positions, he has been pipped to the post each time by a deciding vote.
