Expert cooks, green-fingered vegetable growers and those with an artistic flair are encouraged to enter the competitive sections at this year’s Cornish Winter Fair.

Livestock showing sits alongside an array of classes within the produce, cookery, handicrafts and floral art categories. There are also sections with special classes for children, schools, Young Farmers’ Clubs and Women’s Institutes.

In a nod to The Great British Bake Off, the ‘Showstopper’ class in the cookery section is a chance for budding bakers to show-off their talents.

The closing date for entries in all classes is Friday, November 3.

The Cornish Winter Fair, hosted within the exhibition halls at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre, Wadebridge takes place on Saturday, November 18.

More than 6,000 people attended the Cornish Winter Fair last year.

Cornwall still boasts four winter agricultural shows: as well as the Wadebridge event which is now in its 139th year, Helston, Liskeard and Truro also host their own versions.
