STUDENTS from Liskeard School and Community College played their part in the in the big 'Clean Liskeard' event, which formed part of Clean Cornwall Week, and were out and about in the streets litter-picking.

The students really entered into the spirit of things by also making it a competition between themselves to be the first to pick up 20 items of litter.  This activity also fitted in with the school's 'Co-operative Values' ethos of 'practising what they preach'.

Staff say that recent visitors to the school campus have commented on how clean it now is and how the students have genuinely made the co-operative values part of everything they do.
