THE Looe Tourist Information Centre manager, Mark Camp, is seen entering into the Eastertime spirit to promote a special egg hunt around the town's shops. This carries on until the end of the school holiday, ending on Sunday, April 12. The mayor and mayoress, David and Annette Bryan, who have given an Easter hamper as the prize for the hunt winner, instigated the idea to provide fun for families and to help promote the local shops, with around 38 businesses taking part. The hunters should first collect a form from the TIC office in the Rose Garden and when they have found an egg the shop will sign the form. Those taking part in the hunt have to find 20 eggs to go into the draw. Participating shops have a

picture of a bunny in their windows.

AND SWARMS of children will be digging in the sands of Looe beach on Easter Sunday as the local Lions club holds the annual egg hunt.

Last year more than 150 children hunted for around 200 eggs.

The event, sponsored by the Portbyhan Hotel, will begin at 2pm. Register before 1pm in classes for children aged up to six and from seven to 11. The cost of entry is £1.

After the hunt a draw will take place for three huge Easter eggs. Tickets can be bought from Lions members.
