A landslide victory for the ‘Remain’ campaign was the outcome of a mock EU referendum held at Torpoint Community College (TCC). In the run-up to the vote, students read and listened to information on both sides of the debate, before voting on mock ballot papers, said a school spokesperson. The turnout among the students was 58 per cent, of whom 78 per cent wanted Britain to remain within the European Union.
