Children at a school in St Cleer will have new playground equipment after receiving a donation from a Cornwall house builder.
Persimmon Homes Cornwall has stepped in to grant St Cleer Primary School a £1,000 donation, after the school had their 20-year-old play equipment declared unsafe.
The donation comes as a part of the builder’s Community Champions scheme, which sees a cash pot of £2,000 donated each month to two local charities.
Headteacher Catherine Stoate said: ‘The parents and teachers’ association at the school had raised £3,500 and the work can now go ahead because of Persimmon’s additional £1,000 donation.’
