A new facility at a village primary school will provide a safe place for children to take time out and learn, say teachers.
The Thrive Hut at Antony School was built thanks to a £10,000 National Lottery grant.
It has been named the Cosy Cottage by pupil Kitty following a competition.
The hut is on the school field and, with panoramic views of the nearby river, it will be accessible to any child who needs a bit of quiet time, said a school spokesperson.
Cutting the ribbon on the Thrive Hut, together with Kitty, was Sir Richard Carew-Pole, of Antony House. Sir Richard donated £2,000 from the Carew-Pole charitable trust towards the project. Donations were also made by the Antony School Association and Curtis Whiteford Crocker Solicitors.
