THE first students to take part in a pioneering new course run by the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) were presented with their graduation certificates during a ceremony at Devonport Guildhall.

Liskeard School and Community College students Camron Smith, Liam Heard, Josh Ryan and Jake Reeve have been part of the Bridge Academy for the last 12 months.

The course takes 16-year-olds who are not sure of their next steps and direction after finishing school and sets them up with a range of opportunities to network with businesses and social enterprises in Devon and Cornwall.

The young men have had the chance to run events, create new products and ultimately have set up their own small social enterprise initiatives.
