OLYMPIANS will be aiming to help unemployed young people in Liskeard this spring. Rower Annie Vernon and pistol shooter Georgina Geikie will be teaming up for the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust to run a Get on Track programme. The pair, who competed at the 2012 London Olympics, will be using the skills that helped them in their sports to inspire youngsters not in education, employment or training.
The five-week programme, being staged in partnership with South West charity CoachMakers, will run on three days per week between March 22 and April 21. Places are open for anyone aged 16 to 25 who is not in full-time employment, education or training.
