Students from Saltash have been given a unique insight into the world of anatomy with a live dissection demonstration.

The event was held at the Keay Theatre at Cornwall College St Austell using a semi-synthetic human cadaver named VIVIT.

The demonstration was staged by ITAE (Inspire to Aspire Events) Group director Samuel Piri, who said VIVIT existed to support teachers in teaching science and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.

Samuel guided an audience of staff and students through an exploration of the intricate anatomical make-up of the human body.
