Students from local primary schools have been joining special masterclasses held at Liskeard School.
For the past two terms, more than 60 more able Year 4 and 5 pupils from local primary schools have attended different masterclasses.
In computer science students learned how to code and programmed both a tank and a drone to make manoeuvres of their choice.
Spanish Cafe was the tastiest of the masterclasses, with students working as a team to produce tasty plates of paella and then shortbread with ice cream.
Teachers said the purpose of the masterclasses has been to stretch the thinking of the brightest primary students and teach skills such as problem-solving and teamwork with a ‘can do’ attitude. The masterclasses have been so successful the school is planning to offer more in the next academic year.
