Two pupils from Cornwall have been experiencing life at a Help for Heroes recovery centre. Elliot Wearne-Gould, 17, from saltash.net community school, and Grace Nash, 15, from Truro, undertook work experience at the military charity’s Plymouth Recovery Centre.

The centre supports wounded, injured and sick veteran and serving personnel and their families.

Elliot and Grace lent a helping hand, assisting in the centre’s gym and hydrotherapy pool and working in the garden. They also sampled some of the activities provided.
