HUNDREDS of excited and nervous students queued up for their GCSE results at colleges all over South East Cornwall yesterday morning.
Staff were on hand at Liskeard, Looe, Callington, Saltash, Torpoint and Fowey community colleges and academies to offer congratulations and support as the results of much hard work were revealed.
At Looe it was star-studded success all the way for Sophie Catnatch who achieved 12 straight A*s to make her the top student in the Caradon area.
Close behind her were Liskeard’s Mungo Harrison-Ward with 11 A*s and an A, and Flo Gregory with 10 A*s and an A.
Many students gained outstanding results from A*-C grades but equally celebrated were the achievements of students for whom learning is a significant challenge.
