CHILDREN who had a lesson on Cornish pasties declared their schoolwork ‘delicious’.

The Year 3 Matilda Class at St Martin’s Primary School in Liskeard have been covering a topic called ‘Curious Cornwall’.

Chef Louise Slee came in to take the pupils step by step through the process. After rolling pastry, chopping, filling and crimping, the youngsters had the chance to taste their handiwork.

Teacher Clare Collins said: ‘The children had lots of fun and thought their pasties were delicious!’
