Cornwall College Saltash held its annual celebration of success for Access to Higher Education students.

It was also an evening that welcomed back alumni, who spoke about their successes at university and beyond.

Student Melodie Benson, said the event ’was a fantastic way to celebrate our achievements and hard work throughout the year’.

Each year Access students choose a charity to raise money for throughout the year. Two charities were chosen this year; Ellie’s Haven and Shekinah Mission.

In total more than £600 was raised on the evening through donations and a raffle.

Team lead for access to higher education at Saltash, Kevin Smale, spoke about how proud the college is of its students. He said: ’It was a wonderful event, bringing together current level two progression diploma and access to higher education learners to share in their successes this year.’
