CHILDREN have experienced a taste of being wartime evacuees. Year 5 and 6 pupils at Burraton Community Primary School, Saltash, who have been studying ‘Life at War’, dressed for the part as evacuees and carried their own gas masks. The children boarded a train and waved goodbye as they embarked upon the journey to their imaginary foster homes. The pupils visited the Bodmin Regimental Museum prior to their steam train journey at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.
