CHILDREN from Polruan Primary Academy School will be dancing the May Pole on the Coal Wharf for their May Fayre tomorrow, May 24.

Twenty-nine children from nursery right through to Year 6 will take part in the annual tradition on the Quay.

Emma from Year 6 said: ‘We are really looking forward to it because it is fun to perform a traditional dance in front of our local people and also the holidaymakers. We really like it because it is traditional.’

Lydia from Year 5 said: ’I like the dance because it’s all nice with the rainbow colours and it makes me think of happy things.’

The fayre starts at 11.30 with a barbecue and refreshments, music, raffle and bric a brac. The children will dance at 1pm.
