The TicTac Centre, at Liskeard School and Community College, received a financial boost when Mark Kelly completed the Cotswold Triathlon in a time of one hour and seven minutes and raised £1,858.
TicTac is an information and advice centre for young people, which provides health and emotional support for students at Liskeard School.
Mark spent a long time in Cornwall because his father served in the RAF. His fondness for the area prompted him to want to give something back and he approached Dereen Carnegie-Rance, TicTac manager and counsellor, to ask if he could sponsor the centre.
Dereen went to the triathlon event in Cirencester to cheer on Mark.
She said: ’I would like to thank Mark very much for the great lengths he went to, to support the TicTac Centre.’
