Year 1 Adventure Sports students from Duchy College Stoke Climsland have been working towards a paddlesport award along with their National Navigation awards, whilst the Year 2 students have been developing their sea kayaking and white water skills.
The students have used a range of venues including Summerleaze Beach in Bude, Exeter Canal, Looe and Dartmoor.
Level 3 Adventure Sport student, George Costello, from Looe, is in his second year of the Adventure Sports course and ‘was able to use my qualifications from last year to get a job as an Outdoor Instructor over the summer.’
He said: ‘We are now working on higher level practical skills and awards which will definitely help me in the future.’
