A giant windmill and a fun-filled farm are the centrepieces to the Eden Project’s Easter holiday activities, taking place now until April 25.

Down on the Farm, allows families to take part in a multitude of games and activities which highlight the importance of soil, crops and agriculture.

Visitors can test how a-maizing their aim is by throwing corn between the windmill’s massive spinning blades. Or they can work as a team to track down farmyard animals and help return them safely to their home.

A soil pit will allow visitors to explore the soil to find the tiny creatures that live in its layers and help make the crops grow and there will also be the chance to have a traditional game of ‘pin the tail’.

In the arena area, games of ‘welly wanging’ can be found and the Eden storytellers will be in action in the Mediterranean Biome.

Across Eden, there will be two fun trails for visitors to follow as well as The Great Eden Egg Hunt which sees dozens of precious patterned eggs hidden throughout Eden. A special prize can be claimed by anyone who can find one of these eggs.

There are also relaxed sessions designed to welcome visitors who may benefit from a more informal experience, such as those with autism and sensory or communication needs. These take place before Eden opens to the public  on Sunday April 14 and Wednesday April 17 from 8am until 9.30am.
