In Division One Hits and Misses hold on to top place following their resounding win over the Jets at Millendreath. At the half way stage Hits held an 18 pins advantage, but scored even better in the second half resulting in a 66 pin majority and six points in the bag.
Holding on to second place just four points behind the leaders are Bulldogs who travelled to Pensilva. They got the better in both halves over Rebels, showing a 32 pin overall majority, bringing their total to 57 points from their 14 points.
Still struggling at the bottom of this division are the luckless Barley Oats who travelled to Callington and found the Social Club team on top form. Their 571 pins total secured all six points and a 79 pin majority. Callington's Adrian Olver played a major part in his team's victory as with his 97 pin score now heads the men's highest league score.
Whilst on the subject of high scores - at Liskeard Bowling Club the Edwardians entertained the Londoners and from the start it could be seen that some high pin falls were predicted, as both teams recorded many spares. At the half way stage Edwardians scored 297 pins in reply to Londoners 292. The second half saw Londoners claimed 283 pins with Edwardians reply of 280 ending up a high scoring evening of 577 pins to 575 pins in the home team's advantage and a 4-2 point win.
At the British Legion the Hotshots took on stable mates Misfits where the latter recorded a high 301 pins in the first half showing a 35 pin advantage, but the second half resulted in the rare occurrence where both teams knocked over 258 pins to share those two second half points, resulting in a 5-1 point win for the Misfits.

Terriers jump up to first place in Division Two following their 6-0 win at Duloe over the visiting Seccombes, whose Colin Britten put up a solo effort in the second half and just failed to rescue any points.
Ditchers lost their top spot as following their five-a-side defeat by the Burley Booties last week travelled to Treburley to gain revenge in this league game. But it was not to be as the home side were in top form, particularly Sheila Rich with a fine 88 pin total which played a large part in their maximum win and a rise to third spot.
At Callington Cricket Club the Crickets would have found six points very useful when they entertained the Woodentops who held a first half lead of 12 pins, but things were reversed in the second half allowing the Crickets to record a 4-2 point win and fourth spot. Not many games result in drawn halves or totals, but it had to happen again at the British Legion, this time the Legionaires and Marketeers both accounting for 240 pins each after four legs. However, the visitors did manage to get the better in the remaining four legs by just four pins, resulting in Marketeers 5, Legionaires one point. A near bottom of the table clash saw the Oddballs playing at home at Dobsons holding a 20 pin advantage at half time over the Sandpipers, however the visitors did manage to rescue two points as they won the second half by four pins, but still gave the home side a useful four points to add to their total.

No change at the top of Division Three as the Four x 4's carried on their winning ways to win both halves quite convincingly on their home alley at Treburley where the Nomads were unable to respond and fell victims to the leaders.
With promotion and relegation being two up and two down this season, the Madhatters must have this in their mind as they jump one place in the division following their 4-2 home victory over the Growlers. But it was a very close finish with just three pins separating the totals. Hobos are still scoring well and with seven games to be played are hanging in that runners-up spot as they were 12 pins up at half time over their visitors Hilltops at Hessenford. They did relax somewhat in the second half allowing the Hilltops to rescue two points, but still ended the night with a 4-2 point victory by eight pins.
Struggling in bottom place the Clementines showed an improved performance as at the half-way stage held a 30 pin advantage over the visiting Rally team, although their pin fall was slightly reduced in the second four legs both teams drawing the second half, thus making the third draw half in the league this week and another 5-1 result.
Also in need of points near the bottom of the table the Demons travelled to Treburley and found the alley to their liking as they managed to win both halves over the Tri-Ards to return home with six valuable points despite the Tri-Ards slight second half improvement.

What a week for notable occurrences on the skittle alleys as in all divisions some exceptionally high total accounted for no less than 574 pins (287 in each half) and team regular player Steve Underwood playing a star role knocking over 96 pins, falling short by one pin to reach the men's top score.
This all happened at their home alley at the Barley Sheaf where the visiting Division Four team Bilge Rats did not share the same luck, failing by no less than 98 pins. Exceptional performance!
Socialites 246 pins Linedancers 246 pins was the score sheet at the halfway stage at Callington Social Club and well done the visitors as they went on to gain a 51 pin second half advantage to reap the five points at stake.
At the Liskeard Sports Club the home team Ladybirds were hoping to collect points to climb the table, but it was not to be as the visiting Flyers easily got the better of exchanges in both halves and returned to Linkinhorne with six valuable points and looking for promotion. At Pensilva the Millers needing points to hold on to the top spot could have had a tough match on their hands as their visitors the Breakaways could only filed seven players, where if they had been at full strength would have upset the leaders who on the night could only account for 447 pins to be gifted with six points.
Results - Thrashers 574 pins (287 + 287) 6 pts - Steve Underwood, 96 pins. Bilge Rats 476 pins (228 + 248) 0 pts - Mick O'Donell, 67 pins.
