A house in Liskeard was raided by police on Tuesday when a quantity of drugs was found and two arrests were made.

Officers from Liskeard and Looe neighbourhood teams, alongside officers from C Section Liskeard Patrol led by Acting Police Sgt Ian Griffiths, served a drugs warrant at an address in Lanchard Rise.

Entry was gained unopposed and two occupants were found in possession of a large quantity of cannabis and cash. It was estimated the drugs seized were worth more than £1,000.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and were taken to Launceston police station for interview.

The police said they wanted to remind people that cannabis is a Class B prohibited drug. They say they welcome information from anyone who knows people involved in the supply of illegal substances. They are asked to call the police on 101, Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, or speak to an officer.
