A person had to be cut free from a crashed vehicle on one of the roads to Looe early this morning.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service says that its Critical Control unit received a call from police to assist at the location of the one-vehicle collision on the A387 at Hessenford a 4.14am today.
Crews from Looe and Liskeard, together with a specialist crash rescue tender from Bodmin and a Wholetime Officer were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival at the collision scene, the crews used crash rescue equipment to release the person from the vehicle, while police officers and an ambulance crew were in attendance. The vehicle was said to have rolled and the driver to have sustained injuries.
The road was reportedly closed between Polbathic on the A374 and The Copley Arms at Hessenford for around three hours this morning while the debris from the incident was cleared. The road reopened at around 7.30am.
