The Saltash-based Essa School of Drama held its annual presentation of certificates and trophies at Saltash Handicapped and Disabled Centre (SHADO).
More than 20 pupils received their awards in front of a packed audience of parents, relatives, SHADO members and residents of neighbouring St Anne’s Care Home.
There were 15 trophies presented, all of which had been won at the City of Plymouth Music Festival and Saltash Speech and Drama Festival.
Before the presentations, pupils gave performances of their works, ranging from verse speaking, solo drama, prose readings and speaking to duologues, team public speaking and poetry composition.
The morning started with a singing workshop given by local singer Flo Bonner, who put the children through their paces with songs from The Lion King.
More than 25 children took part in the singing workshops, and the concert started with the children singing in three-part harmony directed by Flo.
The event raised £165.66, which was donated to SHADO. It will be used for environmental works to their garden.
Principal practitioner Kaya Bonner compered the concert, and chairman of SHADO Teresa Orchard gave a vote of thanks to all.
