Letters have been sent to Liskeard Town and Lansallos Parish Councils, from Looe, asking if they would be willing to contribute to the design and printing of new posters asking the general public not to feed the seagulls, giving the reasons why. It was felt that all three councils shared the same problems with seagulls.

It has been reported that the 1999 egg pricking had been well carried out and successful, there being a noticeable decline in young seagulls in the town. S W Rope Access are to be engaged to carry on the scheme in the new season.
