People across South East Cornwall will gather to remember the fallen this weekend as Remembrance and Armistice Day services are held around the district.

This poignant display at Looe’s war memorial was created by RBL members Karol Nachullo and David Massey.

Sunday November 10

Bodmin: A wreath laying ceremony at the St Lawrences Hospital Clock will be followed by a brief service at The Keep at 9.15am. A ceremony and wreath laying will take place at the town war memorial at 10am. A procession will be led to St Petroc’s Church for an 11am service.

Callington: The parade will form up at 2.30pm in the B&M car park to march through Fore Street for the wreath laying.

Liskeard: Muster at the Cattle Market car park before 10.15am for a march to the Town Cenotaph.

Remembrance service at St Martin’s Church 11am

Looe: Civic service at the town war memorial at 10.40am

Pelynt and Lanreath: Remembrance service and wreath laying at Lanreath Church 10.45am and wreath laying at Pelynt war memorial 12.15pm

Saltash: Town Council Civic Remembrance service at Saltash Wesley Church at 2pm, followed by a parade, setting off at around 3pm, through Fore Street to the war memorial at St Nicholas and St Faith Church for wreath laying.

Torpoint: Parade will set off from Albion Road led by band and standards at 10.40am to march through the town to Elliot Square for service and wreath laying at 11am

Monday November 11 - Armistice Day

Callington: RBL will hold a short service at the war memorial 10.30am

Looe: RBL ceremony at the war memorial 10.40am

Saltash: Mayor and civic party will hold two minutes’ silence outside the Brunel Inn 11am
