Derek Watson, a member of Saltash Wesley Church, is going walkabout in Scotland soon for a very special reason.

On April 15 he will walk the 95 mile West Island Way to raise money to bring youngsters from Zimbabwe to Saltash for a holiday.

The Wesley Church members have had close contact with a church in Hararé and a Saltash group has visited the country and now hopes to pay for young people from the Zimbabwe church to come to Cornwall. The appeal is for a total of £14,000.

Derek's effort will begin in Glasgow and when he has finished his walk along the West Island Way he will climb Ben Nevis.
