AN under-strength Saltash side fell to a heavy defeat at the hands of Falmouth, who had the points in the bag inside the first half-hour.

Centre Josh Chambers went over twice in the opening seven minutes and fly-half Matt Horton added a 15th-minute penalty, before centre Clayton Meeres also scored twice and No.8 Steve Instance once. At the turnaround, a more resolute home side frustrated the visitors with some solid defence, holding up two 'would be' Falmouth scorers.
