LISKEARD-LOOE have handed Bude a walkover in their Skinner's Brewery Cornwall Cup first-round tie. After the first two attempts to stage the match were thwarted by snow and ice, it finally got under way last Wednesday at their second-team pitch at Culverland Road. But the game had to be abandoned after 50 minutes when prop Mike Mander suffered a broken and dislocated ankle, with Bude leading 9-3.
Liskeard were hoping to restage the game on the weekend of February 6-7, when they have blank dates available, but they were told by the Cornwall RFU competitions committee that they had to play the game on Wednesday of this week instead.
