THE B&M Store in Liskeard will have to wait until at least April before it will know if the Planning Inspectorate will uphold its appeal over a condition which restricts it from selling food.

The store opened on the town’s retail Bubble Site last February, with a number of aisles stocked with foodstuffs which was against planning conditions.

B&M’s application to Cornwall Council planners to vary the condition to allow them to continue to sell food was refused and the Inspector has decided he will not be able to reach a properly informed decision without the ability to speak to all the parties involved.

An Informal Hearing is expected to take place in April.
