Only Fools and Horses fan Colin Ellis has found that taking a leaf out of Del-Boy's book has won him extra business.

Colin's familiar looking, eye-catching yellow Reliant Regal, which sports words similar to Del and Rodney's distinctive van, has proved an asset for his decorating firm.

He bought the van four months ago and, after some extensive work on its glass fibre body to get it through the MoT, painted it his favourite colour.

'So many people stop to talk to me now' said Colin, of Luckett. 'I get questions from all ages - from the elderly right down to a nine year old girl who stopped to say how sorry she was that I had lost my 'Uncle Albert'. I have even got a few decorating jobs from people who have stopped for a yarn.
