With two weeks of the season left, things are tightening up at the top. Just two points separate the top four teams. Joint leaders SWMC B had an in-house derby with SWMC A. The B team took the team games 2-1 and then managed three singles through Eddie Maton, Dave Fairall and Albert Harris. The A team fought back, taking four singles through John Hamer, Roger Knight, Terry Brooks and Bill Trott for a five-all draw, a big dent in the B team's title aspirations.
Rising Sun had Rodney A as their visitors. Rodney led 2-1 after the team games and then took five singles through John Cook, Paul Ferris, Norman Yarde or Mike and John Fluhrer. Rising took two through Steve Mowle-Haimes and Jim Morris to go down 7-3 and failed to repeat last week's cup triumph.
The other leading two teams Rodney B and Callington CC both had big wins, Rodney a clean sweep 10-0 over visitors Ploughboy and Cricket Club 9-1 over visitors Rod and Line.
