League leaders Rodney A entertained SWMC A and received a shock gaining a 5-5 draw. Rodney started well taking all three team games. They then managed only two singles through Dave Callaghan and John Fluhrer. WMC fought back taking five singles through Bill Trott, John Hamer, Bill Dimmick, Roger Knight and Tony Brooks for a deserved draw.

Rod and Line played host to Brunel, the visitors taking the team games 2-1 and then four singles through Peter Crews, Mike Crofts, Gary Doney and Bill Golightly. Rod and Line took three through Matthew Hemming, Mike Jones and Steve Badge but went down 6-4.

Second placed SWMC B entertained old rivals Coryton Arms. WMC took the team games 2-1 and then four singles through Dave Fairall, Darren Ware and Ted and Eddie Maton. Coryton took three through Bill Bock, Jane Kinsman and Trevor Hewison to go down 6-4.
