With both SWMC A and Notter Bridge having similar league records a tight match was expected that was exactly what happened WMC coming from behind to win 6-4. Notter led 2-1 after the team games but only managed two singles through Mark Crute and Mike Wormall. WMC took five through Mark Chant, Roland Chapple, Bill Trott, John Hamer and Tony Brooks.

Ploughboy had Rod and Line as their visitors. They took the team games 2-1 and then five singles through John Penaluna, Chris Couzins, Len Olver, Peter Holland and Chris Wright. Rod and Line took two through John Marquand and Matthew Hemming and went down 7-3.

Coryton Arms entertained league leaders Rodney A. Rodney led 2-1 after the team games and then took four singles through Dave Callaghan, Norman Yarde, Mike Fluhrer and Paul Ferris. Coryton took three through Trevor Hewison and Phil and Jane Kinsman to go down 6-4.

Rodney B and SWMC B both in the running for league honours met at the Rodney the home side winning through 7-3.

Callington CC moved into second place coming from behind to win 6-4 at the Brunel.
