The Noughts took over as League leaders as they hammered nearest rivals Pelynt B 7-2. Cess Pethick set the Noughts on the way with a distance win over Max Facey. Stuart Gray then levelled for Pelynt taking out the previously unbeaten Andy Grant two straights. Then it all went wrong for Pelynt as Jerry Jago, Andy Bryant, Alan Moreton and Jon Perry all won for the Noughts with only Moreton dropping a leg on the way.

The doubles then went 2-1 in the Nought's favour for a 7-2 win and a four point lead cat the top of the table.

The Rowett B moved closer to second spot with an impressive 7-2 win over the Legion. Dick Hinton put the Legion one up but then the next five games went 2-1 in the Rowett's favour with Dennis Shaw, Derwin Thomas, Mike Pengelly, Roger Pill and Dave Nutts all coming out on top. The Legion won the first doubles but that was their lot as the Rowett won the last two to make it 7-2.

The Three Pilchards travelled to Pelynt A and came away with a 5-4 victory. Joan Geach put Pelynt one-up. Then the Fish won the next four with Julie and Mickey Lawford, Deano Dicks and John Dalton all winning. Dean Haynes took the last singles for Pelynt.

Pelynt won the first doubles to make it 4-3. The next doubles went to the Pilchards to give them victory. Pelynt took the last to make the final score 5-4.

Another close game was the Millhouse v Ship A. The Ship won the singles 4-2 with wins from George Wildman, Ivor Williams, Alan Winterson and Ray Simpson whilst John Yaxley and Mick Knight got the Mills points. The Ship won the one doubles they needed for victory and ran out 5-4 winners.

The Caradon travelled to the Ship and shot up the t able with a 9-0 win. Maureen Brown was the only Ship player to win a leg as the Campers stormed to victory through Jim Svenson, Maggie Robinson, Arthur Curry, Tom Fellows, Peter Paris and Jim Turton.

Going into Christmas and the halfway point Jerry Jago is the only unbeaten player, has the most tons and the longest winning streak. Max Facey has the highest finish with 139.
