Tonight,, Friday 24th March, the Singles Competition will be played at AFC Dobsons when all entrants must be present by 8.15 pm when the draw for order of play will be made.

Any entrant not present at this time will not be included in the draw and will be disqualified from the competition. Sufficient rounds will be played to leave four players to compete in the semi finals on Finals Night.

Next Friday 31st March, also at AFC Dobsons, the Doubles Competition will be played when once again all entrants must be present at 8.15 pm.

The 1999/2000 Captains Cup winner is Mike Cook of British Legion B and the runner-up is the youngest captain who competed in the competition, Antony Wilson of the Liberal Club. Antony beat Sylvia Griffin (Highwayman), Steve Hogan (Sports Club) and Johnny Jefford (White Hart B) to reach the final while Mike, after having a bye in the first round, had wins against John Vine (Market) and Colin Sibley (Cheesewring A) to secure his final spot.
