League matches get back under way this Friday after a two week break to enable everyone to enjoy the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

In the matches played before the break Britsh Legion 'B' lost their first match and also surrendered the runabout Shield to league leaders Cheesewring 'A'. Legion won the shield in a close match up at the Cheesewring in the first half and this turned out also to be a very close match and with the scores level at 5-5 Mark Sibley beat Baz Allen 2-0 to give the victory to the Minions team.

While all this was happening at Liskeard back at the Cheesewring the 'B' team were inflicting a double defeat on the Legion teams when they beat Legion 'A' 7-4. There were other close matches on that night with Market 6-5 winners at home to White Hart 'B' while at the White Hart Dobsons were beating the A team 6-5. The team who finished the year with the biggest win were the Highwayman who won 8-3 at the Liberal Club.
