The Cornwall County Darts team's latest outing in the British Inter-County Championship took them to the Blue Circle Club, Claydon, Ipswich last weekend to play Suffolk. The 18 all result was sufficient to maintain the Duchy's top spot in Division Two, as all the other teams in contention at this stage also had drawn matches.

The Ladies B came away with their second 3-3 draw of the season with Claire Combes and Sally Van Evelingen, neither having been beaten so far this season, and Lady of the Match Teresa Osborn (19.61) were Cornwall's winners. The Men's V won seven sets to five, setting up a two-point overnight lead for Cornwall. John Gloves won with legs of 18, 18 and 17 darts to win his set three legs to one and ear himself the Cornwall Man of the Match award for the second time this season.

On Sunday morning the Ladies A team looked to be in trouble having gone 3-0 behind buy gutsy performances by Annie Lane, Nikki Furse and Jane Cummings levelled the score three all and restored Cornwall's all-important two point overall advantage. Cornwall's A team men fell just short, losing out 7-5, but this was sufficient to ensure the home side could not win. Cornwall Chairman Mike Cook averaged 28.91 to take the Man of the Match award.
