The Triple Memorial Open darts championship was held at Mount Charles Social Club, St Austell on Sunday. Now in its second year, this annual event honours the memory of Kelly Wyness, Ian Hopkins and Tim Sullivan, and was staged by Cornwall Youth Darts on behalf of their families.

Alana Brandon won the Under 21 Ladies; runner up was Hannah Jewell. Tyrone Stephen who defeated Pete James in the Under 21 Men's final won the Tim Sullivan Memorial Shield for the second year in succession. Sue Collins beat Tracy Hancock in the final of the Ladies Open to win the Kelly Wyness Memorial Cup and Kevin Davey defeated Nigel Bovey in the Men's Open Final, winning the Ian Hopkins Memorial Shield for the second time. £140 had been raised for the Cornwall Fire Service Benevolent Fund, when the Open winners, Kevin Davey and Sue Collins, tried to bring the total to £150 by playing each other in a single leg of 1001. Their expectations were exceeded however, as this challenge raised a further £31 bringing the final total raised to £171.
