The second round of the KO Cup saw four excellent matches. Two went the full distance. Gunnislake SC A had Stoke Climsland SC B as their visitors. Stoke started really well, taking the team games 2-1 and then the first single when Pauline Chapman beat Kitty Startup to go 3-1 up. However from then on Gunny got on top taking the next five singles through Margeret Stidwell, Sheila Pearce, Pat Davis, Tanya May and Pam Southcott. Carmen Warne took the last single for Stoke but her team went out 6-4.
Union Inn played host to Coryton Arms and a tremendous evening's darts took place. Union led 2-1 after the team games and wins from Sarah Langsford, Claire Robins and Stella Irish saw Union go 5-1 up. Coryton hit back taking four singles through Tania Bradford, Lindsay Nicholls, Vicki finch and Sarah Elton for a five-all scoreline. A decider was needed and Union went through when Claire Robins beat Vicki Finch 2-0.
Callington SC entertained neighbours Bulls Head and another terrific match saw Social Club come from behind to win 6-5. Bulls started well winning all three team games. They then managed only two singles through Rose Dawe and Hayley Gillett. Social took five through Wendy Lloyd, Phyl Freeman, Jayne Morris, Sharon Bell and Nicky McCabe, for a five-all scoreline. In the decider Social Club went through when Phyl Freeman beat Margeret Martin 2-1.
Tavistock Hotel had Stoke Climsland SC A as their visitors. Stoke started well, taking the team games 2-1. They then managed only two singles through Bridie Craven and Yvonne Hoare. Tavy took five singles through Molly Bickell, Vicky Gale, Pauline Courtis, Lorrainne Chesworth and Sheila Liddicott for a 6-4 victory.
