I thank Liskeard Mayor Roger Holmes for his acknowledgement of our predicament; but feel dismayed he is unaware that the road between Barclays Bank and the Fountain is actually the Parade and not Pound Street.

A large number of parents and children have first to make the far more treacherous crossing by Dennis's the Butchers at Higher Lux Street and then cross Pound Street before encountering the much welcomed assistance of the Traffic Officer.

Incidentally the new pedestrian layout has seen the removal of the island at the aforementioned crossing, which does little to help the situation at all other times.
