A YOUNGSTER raised just over £300 by having almost all of her long hair cut off to help other children.

Daisy Prisk had her hair cut by Dawn McKay at St Nicolas School, Downderry - and had just over 30cms off.

She’s donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair because of medical treatment.

The six year old was also fundraising for the Trust as it costs money to make the wigs.

One Cornish Times reader who read about Daisy’s plans in the paper was so touched she posted us a cheque for £5, which we’ve forwarded to Daisy to add to her total.
