Staff from Trewithen Dairy raised £3,065.07 for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust when they took part in the Samworth Challenge.

The team, consisting of Catheryn Camborieux, Claire Sutherland, Dave Headon and managing director, Francis Clarke, pushed themselves to their limit as they undertook the biennial triathlon-style event.

Competing in the ‘Super Tough’ category, they tackled a series of land and water outdoor disciplines in Exmoor National Park on the National Trust’s Holnicote Estate, in Somerset.

Gruelling challenges the team faced throughout the day included a three-hour trek up a 1,124 feet incline, mountain biking for a further three hours, ending with a two-hour kayak.  They finished a respectable 15th out of 54 teams from all over the country.
