TWO cyclists from Liskeard raised £90 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking part in a sponsored bike ride. Kathy Pearce and Rachel Johnson cycled from Bissoe, near Truro, to Portreath and back on Sunday. The ride was 21 miles long and the final total raised on the day was £1,682.30. Although it was not a race, Kathy and Rachel were first back, taking just two hours. The event was supported by St John Ambulance who was on hand to offer assistance throughout the day, and is now an annual fundraising event on the Marie Curie calendar.
