Cyclists assaulted

Liskeard police are appealing for information relating to an attack on two young boys in Higher Lux Street in the town, at about 6.25pm on Sunday evening, July 4..

The boys, aged 11 and 8 were cycling along the pavement when the male offender shouted at them . He then approached them and pushed them off their cycles before running away. The 11 year old was injured but the younger boy was unharmed.

They described the man as white, about 6ft tall and of skinny build. He was wearing dark clothing, had short, straight black hair, and was aged 25-30.

The police are treating the incident as assault and battery and would like anyone who may have witnessed it or knows anything about it to contact Liskeard police station on 0990 777 444
