Wadebridge v Luckett
At Wadebridge and won by Wadebridge by seven wickets.
Upon winning the toss, Wadebridge decided to allow Luckett to open the batting on a very soft wicket, and the ball was soon doing all sorts of things. Winning the toss proved to be the difference between the two sides with South African San Botha making good use of the wicket. Luckett were all out for 88. Of these, Chris Bowden scored 21 and Dave Petheridge with 39.
In reply, Wadebridge lost three wickets cheaply, but Botha after being dropped first ball went on to score 35 not out, and with D Hamilton's 25 not out, they got the winning runs in the 27th over. Wicket takers for Luckett were John Schutkacker with 2-32 and Dave Petheridge with 1-19.
