Gorran v Luckett
Gorran made a wonderful start in this game when their opening pair of Robb Hurrell and Dave Behennah put on 109 runs for the first wicket. The second wicket then put on 96 more runs before Hurrell was bowled for 109 (11 fours and four sixes).
The score stood at 205 in the 40th over, but they then lost four wickets to make the large total of 264-6. The wicker takers for Luckett were Ray Williams with 1-50 from 11 overs, Roger Berry 1-75 from 16 overs and Adrian Berry, making a welcome return for the season with 3-67 from 11 overs. He also ran out the last wicket to fall to give Luckett their third bowling point.
In reply, facing Gorran's big total, Luckett has a go with all the batsmen used getting into double figures but with Robb Daniels bowling 16 tight overs, it was always going to be hard and in the end Luckett fell 40 runs short. Chris Bowden score 37, Roy Williams gained 15, Adrian Bonney 52, Paul Lowden 12, John Hutchinson 16, Dave Brown 20, Matt Perry 17 and Roger Berry with 13.
