Cricket- County Division Four (East)
Stoke Climsland v Liskeard
On a dry, sunny afternoon, Liskeard won the toss and elected to bat, but they were soon in trouble. Some tight bowling from Parker and Bennett meant that the visitors were beaten at regular intervals, with only three batsmen reaching double figures. Limping to 89 for nine off 48 overs, Stoke had a very reachable target to aim for.
After tea, Stoke set about reaching this small target, putting on 52 for the first wicket until Maunder was out for 28. Firth came and went without troubling the scorers, then Kidd managed 17 not out and Lambert scored 27 not out, which saw the home side through.
Scores - Liskeard 86-9 (D Skews 11; C Young 11; A Vince 19; Extras 21; Bowling - J Maunder 2-18; M Rundell 2-9; C Bennett 3-25; A Parker 1-28).
