On a cloudy afternoon with rain in the air, Liskeard won the toss and elected to field first. The early bowling was tight and runs were hard to come by, all the top five recording double figures but failing to take it on further. However, skipper Andy Billington entered the arena and took the fight to the bowlers, with catches being dropped and ground fielding that can only be described as sloppy, and he reached a hard-hitting 56 not out, taking their total to 151-6.

After tea, the now reliable opening partnership of Hyslop and Vince again gave their side a great start, putting on 48 for the first wicket when Hyslop was out for 17. Vince was the next to go for another fine knock of 31, while Miles, White and Rowe all went for 14. Skews and Clue batted in their familiar fashion and saw their side home with 49-run partnership, Skews finishing with a steady 12 not out, while Clue ended with a mature knock of 32 not out, seeing them home at 153-5. This was another fine win for Liskeard.
